1) Drag the Maple drawer from this diskette (Maple_Install_1) onto
the appropriate hard drive volume.
2) Start a Shell and from the command line use the ASSIGN command
to assign MAPLE: to the Maple drawer. For example, if you dragged
the Maple drawer onto your Work: partition, you would type
assign maple: work:maple
3) Now from the CLI type
execute maple_install_1:install
this will copy the various files into the appropriate directories.
You will be prompted to switch diskettes.
4) Edit your s:user-startup file to permanently add the MAPLE: assign
to your configuration and to add MAPLE:bin to your path.
5) To start Maple, just go into the maple: directory and either
double-click on the MapleV icon or simply type MapleV at the command
line. If you use the icon, the file maple:bin/start_maple will
be executed to start Maple.
